The International Institute of Veterinary Education & Research (IIVER) was established with this responsibility in mind, and we aim to demonstrate its value through our work.

Where We Started, and Why It Still Matters
We were established in 2011 under the Jan Shakti Charitable Trust. Our campus sits on NH-9 near Bahu Akbarpur, about 10 km from Rohtak city, which puts us inside the National Capital Region, roughly 75 km from Delhi. Allowing our students get the rural immersion of Haryana, home to the famous Murrah buffalo, without giving up easy access to a major metro city.
Two accreditation facts matter more than our location. We hold permanent affiliation with Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar, and we're the only private college in Haryana with permanent recognition from the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), backed by a Gazette Notification from the Government of India. Two Programs, One Goal: Field Ready Vets
We offer two veterinary programs, and both are entered through the LUVAS admissions and counselling process rather than a separate entrance exam.
Our B.V.Sc & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry) is the five-and-a-half-year degree, running since the 2014–15 session. You'll cover veterinary anatomy, physiology, histology and embryology, livestock production management, avian production, aquatic animal diseases, milk and milk-products technology, toxicology, biostatistics, animal genetics, livestock entrepreneurship, and clinical practice, complimented by a full year of compulsory rotating internship, as mandated by the VCI. 7 batches have graduated so far.
Our VLDD (Veterinary Livestock Development Diploma) is a two-year program built for practical, field-ready technicians: domestic animal anatomy and physiology, basic animal nutrition, livestock and poultry management, breeding, pharmacy, elementary medicine, introductory surgical and reproductive procedures, and artificial insemination and semen storage. 13 batches have graduated so far.
From either track, our graduates go on to work as private practitioners, government veterinary officers, research scientists, animal nutritionists, pathologists, zoo and wildlife veterinarians, pharmaceutical representatives, dairy and poultry farm managers, animal breeders, epidemiologists, and veterinary educators.
We teach in the Clinic, Not just the Classrooms

Clinical exposure is what we focus on the most. Our Veterinary Clinical Complex has diagnostic laboratories, X-ray equipment sized for both small and large animals, ultrasonography, physiotherapy tools, and dedicated operation theatres. We've treated more than 11,800 animals on campus since 2013, all levels of cases for our students to observe, assist with, and eventually manage alongside our highly trained faculty.
Beyond the clinic, our Livestock Farm Complex puts students through daily animal-rearing routines, and our Ambulatory Clinic extends free veterinary services to neighboring villages and gaushalas, so community service starts from day one.
The IIVER Veterinary Clinic runs as a multidisciplinary referral center: orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery, echocardiography, computed radiography, clinical pathology, dermatology, anaesthesia and pain management, an in-house pharmacy, and air-conditioned in-patient and post-op kennels. For our interns, this isn't a mock setup, it's a working hospital staffed alongside practicing clinicians. We've built our academic spaces to match: air-conditioned smart classrooms, a well-stocked library, and a dedicated conference room, all across our 60-acre campus.
Global Recognition: A Door Toward Licensure Abroad
If you're eyeing an international career, our listing on the AVMA ECFVG school directory is one of our more distinctive credentials, and it's worth being precise about what it means. This isn't AVMA accreditation. It's the qualifying step that lets graduates of a foreign veterinary school apply into the ECFVG certification pathway, a route many U.S. states require before licensing a veterinarian who graduated outside the AVMA-accredited system. In plain terms: an IIVER degree opens the path toward practicing in the United States or Canada.

Our leadership team reflects career-long contributions to Indian veterinary science.
Chairman Sh. Bhupender Malik leads our Management Committee and the Jan Shakti Charitable Trust. Dean Dr. Amar Pal spent more than three decades at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) as a scientist and professor of veterinary surgery, has published over 400 research papers, holds a patent on an external skeletal fixation device, and serves as editor-in-chief of the Indian Journal of Veterinary Surgery. Our Controller of Examinations, Dr. Banwari Lal Pander, earned his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh and is credited with helping develop the Hardhenu cattle, Harnali sheep, and Harlay poultry breeds during his time at LUVAS. Internship Coordinator Dr. Randhir Singh Dabur brings more than 40 years of dairy-technology and livestock-production experience, including an FAO fellowship at Ohio State University, USA.
Around them, we've staffed heads of department across veterinary medicine, surgery and radiology, anatomy, parasitology, pharmacology, animal genetics and breeding, livestock production, animal nutrition, livestock products technology, public health and epidemiology, microbiology, pathology, physiology and biochemistry, and gynaecology and obstetrics. Our faculty come from roughly 15 states across India as of today.

We've put real effort into making campus your home away from home. Student housing is air-conditioned and gender-separated, with meals and laundry included. There's a fully equipped gym, a volleyball court, cricket and football, and horse riding as a sports options. We run weekly classes on career and personal development alongside the standard curriculum, and our students come from 18 states and 5 union territories, which gives campus a multicultural environment.
Our calendar stays full: Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations, Ganesh Chaturthi and Dahi-Handi, blood donation camps, an annual sports meet, orientation events for each incoming batch and ongoing seminars from the most esteemed speakers in the field. It's the ordinary rhythm of student life, layered on top of a demanding veterinary curriculum.

While we could fill pages talking about student achievements from papers published to NGOs started and everything in between. Here are a few recent ones: Prerna Rajain secured All India Rank 13 in the 2025 ICAR postgraduate entrance exam. Bhupender, one of our alumni, secured AIR 1 nationally in the ICAR AIEEA exam during his internship year and went on to become the first student from a private veterinary college admitted to IVRI Bareilly for a master's & PHd in livestock production. Aarzoo Grewal secured the highest OGPA in Haryana (8.97) and is now pursuing an M.V.Sc. in Pathology at LUVAS. Most recently, in December 2025, Chandra Sekhar Gudla placed second nationally in Bentoli Agrinutrition India's "Campus Calling 2025" competition. Our alumni have also performed well in the NAVLE (the North American veterinary licensing exam) to study aborad, and one of them built a veterinary app, Mediverse360.

The VCI-mandated 12-month rotating internship is backed by a placement network we've built over years: the VITA milk plant in Rohtak, CGS Veterinary Hospital in Gurugram, the Central Sheep Breeding Farm in Hisar, the National Research Centre on Pig in Assam, ICAR's Central Fisheries Research Institute in Rohtak, the Dr. B.V. Rao Institute of Poultry Management in Pune, and a veterinary college in Aizawl under Central Agricultural University, Imphal, among others. Beyond internships, we maintain relationships with state universities, gaushalas, zoos, and agricultural and pharmaceutical partners, so our students are exposed to varied real-world settings well before graduation.

World Veterinary Day 2026 ("Guardians of Food and Health") ran as a week-long series in April, a quiz competition, an e-poster contest for VLDD students, a clinical case presentation, and a rabies vaccination camp, closing with a talk from Dr. Ashok Kumar, former Additional Director General for Animal Health at ICAR.

- We hosted the International Hariana Breed Cattle Show & Expo 2026 on campus, with Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat as chief guest. He used the platform to advocate for indigenous cattle breeding and embryo-transfer technology, and gave an on-stage milking demonstration.
- We held an oath-taking ceremony for our B.V.Sc & A.H. Batch of 2020 graduates, alongside a mental health talk by Dr. Sonia Malik on channeling energy productively, student wellbeing has a real place on our calendar.
- In mid-2025, we hosted a visit from Shri Ram Nath Thakur, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare.
Admissions at a Glance
BVSc. & A.H. program is entered through NEET (the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), with counselling and seat allotment handled centrally by LUVAS. Eligibility generally requires a 10+2 qualification with at least 50% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, though exact cutoffs and category-wise relaxations get published each year through LUVAS and our own counselling notices. The process runs through an online application, a physical counselling round for document verification, and seat confirmation, so keep an eye on our announcements page once counselling season opens, since dates often change from year to year.
