Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat graced the International Hariana Breed Cattle Show & Expo 2026 at IIVER, Rohtak, where he urged farmers to promote indigenous cow breeds for improved soil fertility and human health. He highlighted international research supporting the superior health benefits of indigenous cow milk over that of foreign breeds. Emphasising technological advancement, he noted the role of embryo transfer in rapidly increasing high-quality indigenous cattle capable of producing 20–22 kg of milk per day. The event featured livestock exhibits from various states, and the Governor’s on-stage milking demonstration served to inspire and engage farmers.
