The International Institute of Veterinary Education & Research (IIVER), Rohtak, is immensely proud to announce that our campus will be the official venue for the 1st Haryana Breed International Cattle Show & Expo - 2026.
Organized by the Bos Indicus Farmers Association (BIFA) under the aegis of the Haryana Gau Seva Aayog, this landmark event is dedicated to the conservation, promotion, and scientific breeding of the magnificent indigenous Haryana cattle breed.
We cordially invite all our students, faculty, local farmers, livestock owners, and the general public to join us on campus for this grand celebration of our agricultural heritage.

Exhibition Highlights & Selection
To ensure the highest quality showcase, a rigorous selection process was conducted. Out of 3,500 online applications, 200 cattle were initially shortlisted. Following expert physical verification at the farms, 50 outstanding Haryana breed cattle have been selected to be featured at the expo.
The exhibition will feature elite cattle across the following categories:
- 20 Milk Beauty Cows (producing more than 20 liters of milk)
- 10 Dry Beauty Cows
- 10 Calves (Male and Female)
- 6 Adult Bulls
- 4 Bullock Pairs
Celebrating Equality and Contribution
In a unique and commendable move by the organizers, there will be no first or last ranking among the 50 selected cattle. Every selected livestock owner will be honored equally for their dedication to breed conservation.
The event will also feature:
- Special recognition for women actively involved in indigenous cattle rearing.
- Honors for Artificial Insemination Technicians contributing to breed improvement.
Special Attraction: Gau Kripa Lottery
Visitors attending the expo will have the chance to participate in the 'Gau Kripa Lottery', featuring exciting prizes including a charging scooty, milking machine, air cooler, and various other electrical items!

Through hosting this event, IIVER stands with BIFA in their main objectives to:
- Remove myths and misconceptions about the Haryana cattle breed.
- Motivate farmers and livestock owners toward indigenous breed conservation and improvement.
- Showcase the immense milk potential, genetic quality, and agricultural importance of Haryana cattle.
